Trainer Terms and Conditions

Version of 04/10/2026. Working document currently undergoing legal review: it may be clarified before the service launches. Any new version will be submitted to you before it takes effect.

1. Purpose

Conversa is a matching platform. It enables self-employed language trainers to offer video sessions to individual learners and to training organizations. Conversa does not employ the registered trainers and does not direct their work.

2. Your status

You work as a self-employed professional, under the status of your choice (for example, micro-entrepreneur), and you declare your own income and contributions yourself. You provide your SIRET number, which is verified in the public business directory, and you certify that you are working as a self-employed professional. You notify us of any change in your situation.

3. Your freedom

4. What Conversa does

Conversa publishes your profile, provides the video room, collects the price of sessions sold to individuals and pays you the amount, minus its 20% commission. For sessions placed by an organization, the commission applies in the same way to your rate. Conversa charges you no subscription fee: registration is free.

5. Invoicing

To spare you from preparing your invoices yourself, you may authorize Conversa to issue, in your name and on your behalf, the invoices for sessions sold through its platform (invoicing mandate). Each invoice carries your legal details; you may contest it within 15 days, and revoke the mandate at any time. Conversa issues the invoice for its commission separately.

6. Attendance and reviews

The video room measures each person's presence in order to count sessions and settle absence disputes. This measurement is never used to assess your work or to impose a connection time on you.

After a session they have attended, learners can rate five specific criteria (punctuality, adaptation to their level, speaking time, clarity of corrections, session conditions) and leave a comment. The rating, which is the average of these criteria, appears on your profile once you have three reviews. It is there to inform learners; it is never used to penalize you. An abusive review can be removed at your request.

7. Suspension

Conversa may suspend your profile only for one of the following breaches:

Never for lack of activity, for declining a session, or because of a rating. The reason will be notified to you in writing; you can contest it by simply replying, and every contestation is reviewed.

8. Personal data

Your email, phone number and SIRET number are never shown to learners. Your public profile includes your first name, last name, photo, languages, introduction, rates and, where applicable, your rating. You may request the deletion of your account at any time; billing data is kept for the legally required period.

9. Changes to the terms

Any change will be submitted to you before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you may leave the marketplace at no cost.
